Situated at the corner of Issaqueena Trail Highway and Chapman Hill Road in Clemson, S.C., Patrick Square is planned to be a vibrant 173-acre, mixed-use community of 415 homes clustered around a traditional town center of restaurants, banks, shops, a daycare and an assisted living facility. Opportunities in education will also available for everyone as the community will give space for the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (http://www.clemson.edu/OLLI/).
The community, comprised of all EarthCraft Homes, will provide varied transportation options for residents and visitors. Like all EarthCraft Communities, the entire community is carefully designed for bikability and walkability. Above and beyond the requirements of the EarthCraft Communities program, Patrick Square and will host a local bus stop connecting the town center to the surrounding cities of Clemson, Anderson, Central, Seneca, Pendleton and Clemson University.
By limiting the development footprint of Patrick Square, sixty-three acres, or 36%, of the community, will be preserved as green space in permanent conservation, thus providing land for habitat protection and allowing opportunities for residents to hike, participate in outdoor activities and garden with neighbors. Alongside community garden plots, Patrick Square will host a professional farmer that will provide fresh, local produce options to residents. The multi-use trail throughout the community will connect residents to nearby Nettles Park for further recreational options.
