Originally available only in the Atlanta, Georgia area, EarthCraft House has expanded throughout the Southeast. With support from state agencies and home builders associations, the EarthCraft House program is now available to other cities in Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama and Virginia.
| How it works: |
| All regional EarthCraft House builders work with EarthCraft House Technical Advisors. Builders should contact their Independent Inspectors directly throughout the certification process. |

Find an EarthCraft House Technical Advisor for your area |
| |
|
| To certify an EarthCraft House, a builder must do all of the following: |
| 1. |
Join the local Home Builders Association.
|
| 2. |
Join the EarthCraft House program through the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association (call 770-938-9900 for more information).
|
| 3. |
Attend a one-day EarthCraft House training.
|
| 4. |
Attend a design review with EarthCraft House staff to generate an individualized EarthCraft House scoring worksheet.
|
| 5. |
Participate in a walk-through with EarthCraft House staff. |
| |
In addition, every house to be certified must meet the following requirements: |
| 1. |
Each house must score a minimum of 150 points on the EarthCraft House scoring worksheet and certify as ENERGY STAR.
|
| 2. |
Each house must have a Pre-drywall Inspection by an EarthCraft House Technical Advisor. |
| 3. |
Each house must pass a Final Inspection by an EarthCraft House Technical Advisor. |
| |
|
The builder will schedule all inspections directly with the EarthCraft House Technical Advisor. The scoring worksheet must be completed prior to the final inspection along with any documentation indicated on the final worksheet. If the home does not pass the final inspection, the builder must schedule a re-inspection in order to certify the house. |
